Champions Cup Fixtures Confirmed

Prized qualification for the knockout stages, as well as the incentive of a home quarter-final, will be on the line next month when Europe's top clubs battle it out during what promises to be another tension-packed series of matches in Rounds 5 and 6 of the Champions Cup and Challenge Cup.
With the road to the much-anticipated 2018 Bilbao finals certain to be clearer when the pool stages are completed, the exact dates, kick-off times and broadcast coverage for the key fixtures have been announced today.
For Exeter Chiefs, they will entertain French rivals Montpellier at Sandy Park on Saturday, January 13 (3:15pm) in Round 5 of Pool 3 this season.
Rob Baxter’s side will then wrap up the pool stages with a trip to Glasgow Warriors on Saturday, January 20 (1pm).
Back-to-back defeats against Leinster have seen the Chiefs slip to third in the standings, but should the English champions claim victories in their final two pool games, it could well put them in with a shout of qualification into the latter stages of this season’s competition.
With the five pool winners and the three best runners-up from both competitions set to book their places in the quarter-finals, the fact that RC Toulon last season, and the Exeter Chiefs in 2015/16, reached the knockout stage of the Champions Cup on 16 points, indicates that there is still much to play for in the closing rounds.
