Chiefs duo short-listed for award

27/9/18
Exeter Chiefs duo Henry Slade and Sam Simmonds have both been shortlisted for the new Gallagher Premiership Rugby Player of the Month for September.
The two England Internationals have been in sparkling form during the opening weeks of the new 2018/19 campaign, helping the Chiefs to not only record four wins from four, but also bag a glut of tries between them.
No.8 Simmonds has already claimed five tries, while Slade has also found his way over the whitewash on three occasions.
Both are named on an 11-man shortlist, which includes players from rivals Saracens, Gloucester, Bath and Bristol Bears.
This season, however, the Player of the Month panel has a new judge – you!
The usual panel of nine judges remain – Nick Mullins (BT Sport), Alastair Eykyn (BT Sport), Mick Cleary (The Daily Telegraph), Sarah Mockford (Rugby World), Jonny Fordham (The Sun), Robert Kitson (The Guardian), Chris Jones (BBC 5 Live), David Rogers (Getty Images) and Tom Hamilton (ESPN) with Premiership Rugby Communications Director Paul Morgan acting as chair – but this season the public will act as a tenth judge.
Your vote and those from the other nine judges will then be tallied to reveal the winner each month.
September’s shortlist is live now and you can pick from the below. Voting closes at 9am on Friday so get voting!
