Chiefs Players to Join Cornish Pirates on Dual Registration
An aspiring group of players will join Championship side Cornish Pirates on dual registration for the 2024/25 season.
The group includes Sol Moody, Hallam Chapman, Iwan Jenkins, Chester Ribbons and Charlie McCaig.
All are currently in pre-season at Sandy Park as part of the Chiefs playing group but will join-up with Pirates at Mennaye Field at different points ahead of the opening game of the Championship season in September.
The Cornish club has long formed an important stepping stone on the Chiefs’ player development pathway with the likes of first-team regulars Tommy Wyatt and Jack Innard being former Pirates players.
“We have a fantastic working relationship with Cornish Pirates and the coaches there,” Director of Rugby, Rob Baxter said.
“It has been a long standing, and well-worked, relationship. We’re delighted that we can have players on loan with Pirates, giving them not only very good coaching but also that real competitive training and game-time in what is a very good, strong and competitive league.”
