Chiefs quartet named in Under-20s squad

Four Exeter Chiefs players have been named in a 45-man squad, which will convene for the first England U20s training camp of the 2019/20 season.

Richard Capstick, Barrie Karea, Sam Maunder and Rusiate Tuima will allhead to Bisham Abbey (28-30 November) as they begin preparations for the 2020 U20 Six Nations Championship.

With the exception of Karea, the remaining three Chiefs have all been capped at Under-20s level by England before, featuring in last season’s Six Nations Championship, which was won by Ireland.

England U20s are led by head coach Alan Dickens with the side opening their Six Nations campaign against France on Saturday, February 1.

A 32-elite player squad will be named in January ahead of the start of the tournament.

The training squad for this week’s camp includes eight players already capped by England U20s.
