Chiefs trio named in Canadian squad

It will be another all-Exeter Chiefs front row for Canada on Sunday afternoon against England, with Olivia De Merchant, Emily Tuttosi and DaLeaka Menin all starting at the Twickenham Stoop, with De Merchant captaining the side.

Canada come into the test as the 3^rd ranked international side in the world, following on from back-to-back victories over the USA Eagles in Glendale.

The Red Roses though, will offer a crucial test for the side, heading into the World Cup next summer, as the Canadians look to continue to build.

“This will be an excellent measuring test for our team,” explained Head Coach Sandro Fiorino. “We are coming off of two positive results against the United States and we are looking forward to Sunday’s match, which will be another great opportunity to continue building our squad.”

After those victories against the USA Eagles, the side flew over to England, where they have been joined by a number of additions to the touring party, with veteran Elissa Alarie, Alysha Corrigan, Pamphinette Buisa, Fabiola Forteza and Sara Svoboda all linking up with their international teammates for the rest of the tour.

“We’re excited to field another strong group of players this weekend,” said Fiorino. “We are welcoming back some very talented individuals and are excited to see them contribute on the pitch.”
