Exeter Chiefs flyer Facundo Cordero continues to follow in his brothers’ footsteps as he takes the next step of his rugby journey, with a call up to the Argentinian squad for their upcoming Autumn International Series.

Cordero’s form this season has been electric, with the fleet-footed winger causing problems for some of the Gallagher Premiership's best defenders, using his lightning pace and devastating step to keen effect.

Racking up three tries in as many weeks, with two nominations for the Premiership's try of the round award, the 23-year-old Argentinian certainly knows how to make his mark on a match.

Since joining from Los Ceibos in his native Argentina, prior to the restarted 2019-20 season, Cordero has continued his development, working on the fundamentals needed to compete in the physical English domestic league, whilst maintaining the whirlwind core skills that make him such an exciting attacking player.

Back in 2019, Cordero saw his first representative honours for an Argentina XV in the Americas rugby championship - and with Autumn matches against France, Italy and Ireland, there is no doubt that Cordero will be looking to earn his first Test Cap, hoping to transfer his domestic form onto the international stage.

The Pumas will be keen to right the wrongs of a disappointing Rugby Championship, where they failed to win a single match, suffering heavy defeats at the hands of their Southern Hemisphere rivals.
