Cramer looking forward to more time in front of “the best fans in England”
Australian full-back/wing Lori Cramer is boomeranging back to the UK to spend more time with Exeter Chiefs Women.
Having returned to her homeland mid-season of 2023/24 to play for Queensland Reds in the Super Rugby Women’s, or Super W, competition, she is heading back to Sandy Park for some more action in Allianz PWR.
Cramer said: “I am stoked to return to Sandy Park. My time over at Chiefs has been a career highlight and I can’t wait to get back to playing footy with my mates in front of the best fans in England. Pop the kettle on guys, I’ll see you soon!”
The 31-year-old joined Exeter Chiefs after the delayed Rugby World Cup in 2022. The former Waratahs speedster is also an experienced sevens player. She played in the inaugural WXV1 international tournament played in New Zealand and in the recent Pacific Nations Series.
Cramer made her Chiefs debut against Harlequins in December 2022 and has already played in 19 league games for the club, scoring three tries and kicking 22 points in the process.
Head coach Susie Appleby said: “It was always the plan for Lori to head home for a bit last season, and it was always my intention to bring her back. Lori is an excellent rugby player, outstanding at both international and club level. She is also a real character and a firm favourite with the fans. Our bus journeys have not been the same without her!"
