Exeter Chiefs duo Henry Slade and Harry Williams have both been retained by England head coach Eddie Jones in a 26-man squad, who will prepare for Saturday's Old Mutual Wealth Series match against Argentina at Twickenham (3pm).

The duo, who were part of England summer tour to Argentina, will be looking to add to their tally of international caps in the first of three Test matches this Autumn for the Red Rose country.

Club-mate Sam Simmonds, who has trained with England both at their training camp in Portugal and at their Pennyhill Park base this week, has not been retained by Jones and has been released back to his club along with Tom Dunn, Nick Isiekwe, Charlie Ewels, Denny Solomona and Piers Francis. Apprentice players Zach Mercer and Marcus Smith, who were not available for selection, have returned to Harlequins and Bath respectively.

Williams, meanwhile, was part of England’s forward pack who trained with Wales in Bristol on Monday and then continued their preparation at Pennyhill Park today.
