Exeter Chiefs Cycling are pleased to announce that after an enforced lay-off due to Covid, the European Rugby Cycle Challenge Tour is back for 2022 season with a Euro Ride from Exeter to Limerick.

In previous years, the group have visited Bordeaux, Belfast, Montpellier, Castres and La Rochelle, helping to raise £100,000 for the Exeter Chiefs Foundation.

Now, the group are inviting riders to participate and sign up for their latest escapade, which will start the day after the Chiefs tackle Munster in the first leg of their last 16 Heineken Champions Cup double-header.

Over the following six days, riders will tackle roughly 416 miles, taking in 21,600 feet of climbs along the way. Due to the logistics of ferry timings there will be one transport day, but they will cycle along the superb Waterford & Limerick Greenways on the way to Thomond Park, plus a day to encircle the beautiful and famous Ring of Kerry.

As always, the objective of the ride is primarily to raise money for the Exeter Chiefs Foundation, have a lot of fun along the way and, at the end, watch the the away match.

Sponsor pages linked to the Foundation will be expected by each participant, whilst Exeter Chiefs Cycling are also looking for volunteers to help with supporting the cyclists. Perhaps your spouse or a group of friends would like to help with food and drink support?

Places are capped to 30 cyclists and all expenses, including hotel, ferry, fuel and food is paid by all participants in the form of one fee.

As a participant, you will get a European Cycle Jersey, Gillet and Polo Shirt in the package - and cyclists of all abilities are encouraged.
