Evolving Fan Engagement Strategy

It has been a summer of change and transition at the Exeter Chiefs, and as the club continues its evolution, focus remains clearly on the future, both on and off the pitch.

As with all periods of transition, there are moments that challenge us. To say goodbye to so many of the club stalwarts who have helped to engineer many of the highs of our organisation over the past 15 years, has made this summer particularly poignant.

However, there is real excitement about what the future holds for the talented group of players now amassing at Sandy Park. The emphasis has been on finding and developing many of the stars who will lead the club toward the next moments of triumph and we can’t wait to see what the coming seasons bring.

It is with this in mind that we are also looking at the structures across our business, and how we meet the challenges that face all modern sporting organisations as we enter a new era of communications and fan engagement.

We are aware that the world of marketing & communication is constantly evolving, and with the requirements of modern media channels, from social media and data driven comms to the requests of our press and commercial partners, we have to look at how our resources are allocated and where the needs of the business are most acute.

It is a task that the club is taking very seriously, and we want to cater to the needs of all of our fans, both those who have been on the journey with us from our days at the County Ground and those who are discovering the Exeter Chiefs in our modern guise.

We cannot stand still and there are mounting pressures on rugby clubs to evolve and face down the challenges of an increasingly competitive and condensed entertainment world.

The Exeter Chiefs have been successful by doing things our own way and our journey to the very summits of this sport has been based on core principles that we will continue to stick to.

We look forward to you joining us on this journey.
