Harlequins clash is a sell-out

Sandy Park will be at capacity for a ninth time this season after the final tickets for Saturday’s Gallagher Premiership clash between Exeter Chiefs and Harlequins were sold today.
Just a fortnight after welcoming a crowd of 12,900 for the visit of Wasps, a similar figure will convene for this weekend’s Round 20 encounter between two clubs currently positioned in the top four of the division.
The Chiefs have already secured a home semi-final in this year’s play-offs, but Rob Baxter’s side have made no secret of the fact that they want to head into the last four with real momentum behind them and they are hoping to make the most of their final three fixtures in the regular season, two of which are on home soil.
After Saturday’s clash against Harlequins, the Chiefs travel to Saracens on Saturday, May 4, after which they entertain Northampton Saints on Saturday, May 18.
Like both the Wasps and Harlequins games, the Chiefs are expecting the final day encounter with Northampton to also sell-out, so supporters who have yet to purchase their tickets for this game are asked to do so now in a bid to avoid any disappointment.
Tony Rowe OBE, Chairman and Chief Executive of Exeter Rugby Club, said: “This weekend’s game will be our ninth sell-out of the season – and as a club we are averaging close to 12,000 fans for our home games. Moving forward, we expect that figure to rise further between now and the end of the season.
“As we get into these final few weeks of the season, it’s fantastic to know we have such a hardcore following coming to every home game, supporting Rob and the team as they try and win themselves a place back in another Premiership Rugby final. We have three very big fixtures coming up before the play-offs, so it’s vital the fans play their part and really get behind our lads.”
Exeter’s impressive crowds have been highlighted by a record-breaking year of season tickets sold by the Devon club. Over 5,400 supporters signed up for a season ticket, ensuring they had their place at every home fixture, including games for the Chiefs, Braves and Academy sides.
Already the Chiefs have launched their season ticket offers for the 2019/20 season, offering an adult ticket package from as little as £38 per month using a 10-month, interest-free instalment plan. Existing season ticket holders will have their ticket/tickets reserved for purchase until 5pm on Sunday, April 28, after which time they will be released for general sale.
As well as being the most cost-effective way to attend fixtures at Sandy Park, being a season ticket holder also gives you priority access to all progression games, as well as club shop and bar discounts, as well as access to the Exeter Chiefs Season Ticket Holder Advantage Scheme.
