Keast to Join Pirates on Loan for Championship Season

Exeter Chiefs loosehead prop Billy Keast will go on loan to Cornish Pirates for the 2024/25 RFU Championship season.

The Cornwall born-and-raised prop recently re-signed with Exeter Chiefs and this loan period will give him useful game-time.

Keast, formally of Truro College in the Exeter academy pathway, represented Pirates previously as he was progressing through the Chiefs’ development programme on his way to a first team debut against Harlequins in an Anglo-Welsh clash in 2016.

Since then, the now 27-year-old has made 50 career appearances for Chiefs in all competitions – the Premiership Cup, the Champions Cup and the Gallagher Premiership.

Keast is currently in pre-season with Chiefs but will join up with Pirates in time for the start of the Championship season in September.
