Maunder Joins Coventry on Loan

Exeter Chiefs scrum half Sam Maunder has joined RFU Championship side Coventry on loan with immediate effect.

Maunder comes from a family heritage of playing for Chiefs and returned to great reception at Sandy Park at the start of the 2024/25 season having spent the previous 18 months rehabbing a serious knee injury.

Since making his Chiefs debut in September 2018, Maunder has been in competition for the number nine shirt, which he has pulled on over 50 times in all competitions for Exeter.

A former England U20, the 24-year-old joins Alex Rae’s squad with immediate effect to gain some valuable game-time in the Championship.

Maunder will be available for selection in Coventry’s upcoming Championship fixtures.
