Nixon to join Bristol Bears on loan

Exeter Chiefs prop Sam Nixon is to join Gallagher Premiership neighbours Bristol Bears on loan until the end of the current campaign.

The Exeter Chiefs tight-head moves with immediate effect and is answering an SOS from the Bears, who are currently without John Afoa, Max Lahiff and Kyle Sinckler.

Nixon joined the Chiefs last summer from French outfit Bayonne and has previously played for Bath.

He made his Chiefs debut on the opening day of the season in the Premiership clash at Leicester Tigers and has since gone on to play ten times, including in the Heineken Champions Cup and Premiership Rugby Cup.
