Welshman Nigel Owens will be in charge for the European Champions Cup clash between Exeter Chiefs and Montpellier at Sandy Park on Saturday, January 13 (3:15pm).
The world-renowned official will return to Devon for the Round Five encounter in Pool 3 of this season's competition.
Owens was last in charge of a game at Sandy Park back in December 2016 when Bordeaux-Begles were the visitors.
On the same weekend, Frenchmen Jérome Garcès will referee his 50th match in Europe's top club competition when he takes charge of the Round 5 fixture in the Champions Cup between Bath Rugby and the Scarlets at the Recreation Ground on Friday, 12 January.
Garcès's is one of 40 referee appointments for Rounds 5 and 6 of the 2017/18 Champions Cup and Challenge Cup announced today by a selection committee chaired by Joel Jutge, EPCR's Head of Match Officials.
It was also confirmed today that Romain Poite will be in charge for Exeter's final pool game in this season's competition away to Glasgow Warriors on Saturday, January 20 (1pm).
The Frenchmen's appointment will be his second of the season for the Chiefs, having also overseen the Round 3 encounter between Exeter and Leinster at Sandy Park.
