Premiership Rugby Cup fixtures 21/22

Exeter Chiefs will kick-off their latest Premiership Rugby Cup campaign with a mouth-watering Westcountry derby against Bristol Bears.

The two-time winners will entertain their nearest and dearest at Sandy Park on Saturday, November 13 at Sandy Park (3pm), before they bracing themselves for a trip to Gloucester a week later (November 20, 1pm) in Round Two of the competition.

Rob Baxter’s side will then complete their Pool stage fixtures with an away date at Bath, before finishing with a home encounter against Worcester Warriors. Dates and kick-off times for these two fixtures are yet to be finalised.

The competition itself starts with another all=Westcountry affair with Gloucester entertaining Bath at Kingsholm on Friday, November 12 (7:45pm).

Phil Winstanley the Rugby Director at Premiership Rugby said: "We are delighted to bring the Premiership Rugby Cup back after we were forced by the Covid pandemic to cancel it last season.

"This is a very important development competition for our young players as it gives them the chance to play against good opposition in a pressurised environment and in front of large crowds.

"We have seen so many players emerge through the Premiership Rugby Cup over the years players with established England Test stars like Maro Itoje, Sam Underhill, George Ford, Henry Slade, Ollie Lawrence and Billy Vunipola making their debuts in the competition."

Holders Sale Sharks are in Pool B alongside Newcastle Falcons, Leicester Tigers and Wasps. That pool gets underway on Saturday, November 13 with fixtures at Kingston Park and Mattioli Woods Welford Road Stadium

The 2019-20 runners-up, Harlequins are in Pool C with London Irish, Saracens and Northampton Saints. Pool C also kicks off on Saturday, November 13 at the cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Garden and StoneX Stadium.
