Exeter Chiefs forward Julian Salvi skippered his team to success in the latest Question of Sport Night held at Sandy Park on Thursday evening.

Flanked by Exeter City footballer Lee Holmes and Gorgs Geikie, the former Team GB pistol shooter, the trio triumphed over three more of the region’s top sporting stars.

In a fun-filled evening, hosted by Mark Tyler, Julian’s team edged out their rivals, skippered by Exeter Chiefs star Gareth Steenson 32-30.

Alongside Gareth in his side were Somerset cricketer Lewis Gregory and hockey star Giselle Ansley, who won gold at last summer’s Olympics in Rio with Team GB.

Battling out over eight rounds, the night mirrored much of the traditional BBC show, but also had a couple of its own special rounds.

All in aid of the Exeter Foundation, the official charity of the Exeter Chiefs, over 250 people were in attendance, whilst an auction of sporting memorabilia helped to raise over £250.

The quiz itself was devised by Exeter Chiefs Communications Manager, Mark Stevens, and it’s hoped a similar event will be held later in the year.
