Round 17 of the Gallagher Premiership will this weekend be dedicated to the RPA’s Restart Rugby campaign and here at the Exeter Chiefs we’re getting behind them to raise awareness and funds to support our players’ mental health.

Restart is a charity that supports current and former players facing serious injury, illness or hardship. During Round 17, we want to raise as much as we can across the Gallagher Premiership for Restart’s Confidential Counselling Service which helps players struggling with their mental health.

Restart does so much work behind the scenes to support us as players, but often their work goes under the radar,” said Exeter Chiefs and England star Don Armand, who is the club’s Restart Weekend Ambassador.

“So much of what they do to help individuals is confidential, like their mental health service, but just because we don’t know about it, doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate it. As players, you don’t know what’s around the corner and it’s reassuring knowing that if things turn upside down, Restart will be with you every step of the way to support you.”
