Exeter Chiefs supporters were given an insight into life at this year’s Rugby World Cup in Japan with a special Homecoming Event held at Sandy Park on Wednesday night.

International stars Luke Cowan-Dickie, Jack Nowell, Henry Slade, Tomas Francis, Stuart Hogg and Nic White all took to the stage to give a 500-strong crowd their own personal take on this year’s tournament.

In what proved a fun-filled evening of entertainment, compered by former Chiefs star Kai Horstmann, the six stars not only gave their own take on what it was like to feature for their countries, but they were able to give some amusing anecdotes of events which happened away from the rugby fields in the Far East.

Attendees were also able to hear the thoughts of Chiefs Director of Rugby, Rob Baxter, who alongside Horstmann broke down the tournament pool by pool - and gave his own take on what he thought were the highs and low of the hugely successful tournament.

Sandy Park Head Chef Craig Beacham also put together some Japanese cuisine for the night with guests served up a succulent portion of Beef teriyaki.
