Slade Named Supporters' Player of the Year
Henry Slade has added a new accolade to his Chiefs CV as he has been named Exeter Chiefs Supporters’ Player of the Year for the 2023/24 season.
The fan-favourite centre was presented his award following the Chiefs' bonus point win over Harlequins at Sandy Park on Saturday in the final home game of the season.
Despite having played 230 appearances for Chiefs and scoring 858 points, this marks the first time that Slade has been presented the award.
Slade now joins an esteemed list of previous winners, which includes Dean Mumm, Thomas Waldrom, Don Armand, Olly Woodburn, Sam Simmonds, Santiago Cordero and Joe Simmonds.
In announcing the award, Exeter Chiefs Supporters’ Club Chairman, Richard Cresswell, congratulated all the Chiefs players, coaches and support staff on their impressive season.
A presentation was also made to Gareth Steenson on behalf of the Supporters' Club for his years of dedication to the club as he marked his last game at Sandy Park before he returns to his native Northern Ireland following the conclusion of the season.
