Vintcent to Start for Italy in Rome
Ross Vintcent will start for Italy in Rome this weekend as they host Scotland.
Gonzalo Quesada has named the official line-up that will face Scotland on Saturday 9 March at 3.15pm at the Olympic Stadium in Rome, in Round Four of the Guinness Six Nations 2024.
The game will be broadcast live on Sky Sport 1 and free-to-air on Cielo (channel 26).
It will be the 37th match between the two teams, the thirteenth in Rome and the sixteenth in Italy. Match direction is entrusted to the Australian Angus Gardner in the match that will give decide the Cuttitta Cup.
The back three will be formed by Capuozzo, Ioane and Louis Lynagh who will make his debut with the senior men's national team. Menoncello returns to form - together with Brex - the center pair of the first two matches of the tournament, while the keys to the midfield will once again be entrusted to Paolo Garbisi and Page-Relo.
In the back row - together with captain Lamaro - he confirms Vintcent with the number 8 while Sebastian Negri returns after his injury which kept him in the box against Ireland and France. Ruzza and Cannone will take to the field in the second row, while Simone Ferrari will return to the front row together with Nicotera and Fischetti.
Ready to take over from the bench are Lucchesi, Spagnolo, Zilocchi, Zambonin, Lorenzo Cannone - also absent in the second and third rounds of the tournament due to injury - Varney, Marin and Mori.
