Exeter Chiefs prop Tomas Francis has been called up by Wales ahead of their upcoming two-Test tour of Argentina.

Francis, along with Worcester Warriors winger Josh Adams, joins up with Warren Gatland's squad after missing Saturday's 22-20 victory over South Africa in Washington.

The duo, along with Bath lock Luke Charteris, were not able to feature against the Springboks after Premiership Rugby Limited refused to release them for the game as it fell outside World Rugby's designated Test window.

However, an injury to winger Steff Evans and concerns over prop Samson Lee have seen Gatland waste little time in calling for the two English-based players.

Francis, should he feature in the opening Test against the Pumas in San Juan on Saturday, will win his 32nd international cap.
