Back rower from Basingstoke, Lucas Dorrell, was a new face into the intake for the Chiefs Academy in 2023.
Having watched his dad play rugby when he was a child, Dorrell was determined to follow in his footsteps, taking his first tentative steps into the sport at just five years old in France with US Bardos.
With them until the age of nine, the forward then moved to Eastern Suburbs for the chunk of his early and mid-teens rugby before also experiencing tutelage at Randwick and CA Brive before arriving on Devon soil.
Winning the BUCS title in 2023 with Exeter University, Dorrell also has representative honours for England Students.
