Max Norey
London-born Max Norey is a gifted, all-action hooker who is another to have come through the club's highly successful academy programme.
As a youngster, Norey played his rugby at Teignmouth Rugby Club, as well as combining his studies at Ivybridge Community College, where he gained a Level 3 Sports diploma.
More recently, Norey has spent time playing in the National League with both Taunton Titans and Plymouth Albion, whilst at the same time training with the Chiefs at Sandy Park.
Fiercely committed on the field, his energetic approach is one that is liked by the Chiefs coaches, who have used him in both the Premiership Rugby Shield and Premiership Rugby Cup. It was in the latter which he made his first team debut against Bristol Bears in October 2019.
Born in Lewisham, London, Norey studied a Level 3 sports diploma at Ivybridge College. As a youngster he played his rugby at Teignmouth before moving on to play for Taunton Titans, Chinnor, Plymouth Albion and, more recently, in the RFU Championship with Cornish Pirates.
