Oscar Beckerleg
Born in Truro, local lad Oscar Beckerleg has already captured the attention of the England age-grades having represented them with three caps so far. Following in his older brother’s footsteps by picking up a rugby ball, he described the highlight of his young career so far as having the opportunity to have played with his brother.
Before being brought into the Chiefs Academy fold, Beckerleg developed through the junior ranks of Penzance and Newlyn RFC from aged 7-16 before joining Truro College in his late teens.
The second rower is now one of the Academy’s senior members looking to capture the attention of Chiefs Director of Rugby, Rob Baxter.
