Born and raised in Cornwall, the young forward was always destined to take up rugby, following in the footsteps of his father Richard, the former Redruth and Cornwall prop.
Keast’s career really started to take off when he joined Truro College. Under the tutelage of the coaching staff at Exeter’s Academy base in the Duchy, he reached another level and that was when Chiefs moved to sign him.
Since then, the Premiership outfit have worked hard on developing Keast as an upcoming prop. Not only has he gone on to achieve international recognition with England at various age groups, he has featured prominently for Redruth and Plymouth Albion in the National Leagues as well as Cornish Pirates in the RFU Championship.
Keast made his Chiefs debut in an Anglo-Welsh Cup clash away to Harlequins in 2016 and was part of the Anglo-Welsh Cup winning side which defeated Bath 28-11 at Kingsholm in March 2018.
Such was his development, the Truro-born forward worked his way into Rob Baxter's Premiership plans, making his league debut for the club in their last-gasp win away to Bristol Bears in November 2018.
Away from rugby, Keast was the first recipient of the RPA's Vodafone Business Gain Line Award with his speciality coffee and Cornish clothing brand No.1 Cubs.
